FXFOWLE architects and developer SJP Properties are adding another “green” touch to Midtown West: Eleven Times Square—a 1.1 million-square-foot, 40-story, all-glass office and retail tower being built on Eighth Avenue between 41st and 42nd streets, which was officially introduced to the public on April 14 at cocktail reception sponsored by the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW), held next door at the
New York Times Building. Following the reception, NYinc’s Jonathan Schein, Susan Piperato, and photographer Roy Gumpel rode the cage up to Eleven Times Square’s nearly completely glassed-in 26th floor. This high-performance, energy-efficient world-class building will be completed next January—making one more link in the chain of green buildings that is being created along Eighth Avenue’s revitalized corridor and one more vote of confidence in New York and the survival of the U.S. economy.
