NEW YORK, NY—Colliers International has been retained as the exclusive agent on the sale of two leasehold interests secured by prominent movie theater complexes in the Washington/Baltimore area.  

The properties, which are being sold together as a portfolio, are located in the Potomac Yard Shopping Center in Alexandria, Va., and the Hunt Valley Towne Center in Hunt Valley, Md. The cinemas are owned by RREEF and Greenberg Gibbons, respectively.

NEW YORK, NY—New York City’s housing market continued its rebound in the second quarter of 2010 as the total dollar value of residential real estate sales increased 72 percent compared to the second quarter of 2009, according to a new report. The total dollar value increased to $7.6 billion this quarter, up from $0.8 billion in the second quarter of 2009.

NEW YORK, NY—On track for another impressive performance, the nine Pre-War Trophy office buildings in the W&H Properties portfolio leased an aggregate of over 560,000 square feet during the first six months of 2010, announces Fred C. Posniak, senior vice president of W&H Properties.

More than half of the total, or 370,000 square feet, represents new leases and expansions. Renewals account for the remainder.
