MAHWAH, NJ-- Chance Parker, LEED AP and construction manager with DMR Architects in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, has been appointed to the Township of Mahwah's Environmental Commission by Mayor Richard J. Martel.
Parker has extensive experience in real estate, construction and management. Prior to joining DMR Architects, he worked at a start-up company specializing in energy efficient and sustainable building technologies. He has also worked as a general and independent contractor in Colorado and is a licensed associate real estate broker in the state of Colorado.
At DMR, Parker is responsible for conducting site visits, performing site assessments and evaluations and preparing construction-related documents, architectural drawings and specification reviews, all of which will help him in his new role with the Environmental Commission.
The Environmental Commission is part of the township's overall planning process. The commission is responsible for studying and evaluating proposed uses of the township's open space, including parks and watersheds, as well as the evaluation of properties for conservation use. The commission also supports the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment by reviewing applicant plans for site-specific environmental issues.
