STAMFORD, CT—Ian Ceppos, associate of CB Richard Ellis’ Stamford office has been appointed to the Office of Secretary on the Board of Directors of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Westchester, NY, Inc. He was previously Treasurer in 2009. As Secretary, Ceppos will maintain all Association Bylaws, hold custody of the Corporate seal and current approved Bylaws, and keep records in accordance with the Bylaws of all Association meetings. In addition, he will serve as a voting member on the Board of Directors.
The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) is a primary source of information on office building development, leasing, building operating costs, energy consumption patterns, local and national building codes, legislation, occupancy statistics and technological developments. BOMA members are building owners, managers, developers, leasing professionals, medical office building managers, corporate facility managers, asset managers, and the providers of the products and services needed to operate commercial properties. Collectively, BOMA members own or manage more than nine billion square feet of office space, which represents more than 80 percent of the prime office space in North America.
The Building Owners and Managers Association International was founded in 1907 as the National Association of Building Owners and Managers. The association assumed its present name in 1968 as it broadened its reach to include Canada and other affiliates around the globe. Today, BOMA International represents 92 local associations throughout the United States and 13 affiliates around the globe.
